Shipping Temporarily Suspended
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have been compelled to suspend shipping until next Monday, 07/26/21.

At that time we will resume shipping orders in the order that we received them. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers.

Click here to see Our Delivery Schedule.

Our Domain Certificate
Ugh, our domain certificate expired on 07/10/21, and so instead of appearing, our visitors saw a page saying, "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead."

There was no more risk than any other day, but some of you may have been worried. We apologize.

Now we have software on our server that will automatically renew the security certificate well before it expires again.

Current Delivery Schedule
OK, we're getting a huge number of orders. We pick and pack each order with extreme care, which takes extra time.

As a consequence, we are running a day or two behind our posted delivery schedule for which we apologize.

If you order from us, we will send you a couple of emails with the details about your delivery.

Click here to see Our Delivery Schedule.

We're almost Caught-up
We did not ship any customer orders from December 17, 2020 to January 3, 2021. So, when we began shipping again on January 4, we had a backlog of about two weeks.

But now we are almost caught-up and you should get your shipment as shown on Our Delivery Schedule.

Click here to see Our Delivery Schedule.

Fish Shipments
Attention: The companies that deliver our fish advised us not to ship from December 17, 2020 to January 03, 2021, because there would likely be delays.

Delays can endanger the fish being shipped. So we posted messages on our website that we would not ship from
December 17, 2020 to January 03, 2021.

On January 04, 2021 we began shipping live fish again. But of course we've fallen behind our usual shipping schedule. So it will take us a week or two to catch up.

We plan to ship orders in the order that we received them. First come, first ship. If you ordered, we will notify you before we ship your order.

You are always welcome to email or telephone us to check on your order and shipping.

Thanks to so many of you for supporting us.

Last Day to Ship before Christmas.
Attention: The last day to order for delivery before Christmas was December 16th. You can still order, and we will ship on a first-come first-ship basis beginning on January 4, 2021.

Details about Shipping Fish
Details about how we successfully ship live Tropical Fish and Goldfish all over the US ...
Pet Fish Names
We have gotten lots of comments lately about Pet Fish Names. Many of the people interested in naming their fish admitted they are stuck staying at home because of the Covid-19 virus.

Click here to read about Pet Fish Names. In particular there is a short story about Percival the Brave and another story about Sir Blackstone. Stay safe and enjoy your fish.

Lots of New Fish
We're kind of amazed that we have been able to keep so many fish in stock. We are all healthy and working hard to ship as many orders as we can.

Click here to see lots of our fish that all want to come and live in your aquarium.

Your Order may be Delayed.
We are catching and packing fish from 5am to midnight or even 1am. That is about 20-hours a day.

Of course none of us works 20-hours in one day. But we are all giving it our best effort.

Even so we are a few days behind, so we cannot ship to you on the days listed on our Daily Delivery Schedule.

We have been shipping fish for over 60-years, and this is the first time we've had major delays, which are now caused by the Corona Virus.

Be assured we are doing our very best. We still give each order our complete attention, as we've always done.

Our quality is still the highest. You can be confident that you will get some amazingly good fish. But it will take us a few extra days.

We appreciate the patience and confidence you have given us. Thank you.

We love the fish. We love working here. And we appreciate each order you send to us.

Our Apps
We just realized that we never put a comment here about our Apps. Lots of you folks tell us all the time that you like them.

Saturday Deliveries Suspended.
The shipping companies that deliver our packages have advised us that temporarily they cannot guarantee delivery on Saturday, and some shipments may be delayed until the following Monday.

Yikes, that does not sound good for our fish. So we have temporarily suspended shipments on Friday to arrive on Saturday.

We apologize if this disappoints you. We are carefully monitoring the situation, and if it improves, we will begin to ship again to arrive on Saturdays. If and when we do, we will post a message here.

Overnight Shipping?
Yes we ship our fish overnight, which means they leave here in the afternoon and arrive the next usually before noon.

But that does NOT mean you will get your fish the next day. Instead we ship according to Our Delivery Schedule, which means you will get your fish in one, or two, or three, or four days, depending on the day and time that you make your order.
Our 20th Anniversary
We forgot to mention that 01/22/2020 was our 20th Anniversary on the Internet.

Yes, back in January of 2000 our guy, DrTom, posted a new 6-page web site, and he was amazed how quickly it attracted aquarium fish hobbyists!

In a few months there were lots of pages and thousands of visitors. All of us here at love the internet, and we are doing as much as we can to make this website fun for everyone.

We hope that all of us continue to enjoy this site.

The Covid Virus
I went to my favorite grocery store this morning right at 7:00 am, the usual opening time, but there was a note, saying they would not open until 8:00 am.

I went back to relax in my car and got back out at 7:55 am to see a huge line in front of the store. The store's front door opened and the shoppers swarmed into the store. Most of them headed toward the toilet paper.

I began my usual route through the store only to see no eggs, no frozen veggies, no pasta, no frozen dinners, no this and no that.

Then I heard a commotion in the back. There were several customers, who were hollering about the lack of dog food!

There was one woman, who seemed to be the most upset, and I thought to myself, "Hey, I've got a big bag of dog food at home that I feed to friendly neighborhood dogs."

Long ago I had a sequence of three dogs that each lived to be 19-years old. I loved each one dearly, but now for several years I have not had a dog.

I was thinking I'd arrange to give this woman my bag of dog food. So I asked, "How much dog food do you have now?"

She said, "About half a bag."

I asked, "How long will that last?'

She said, "Probably two weeks."

"Oh." I said. "By that time there will be a lot more dog food available. Right?"

She said, "Yes, probably so."

We smiled and said, "Good bye." to each other.

Many people are worried and on edge.

My brother and I had a long talk today about what to do. Our local officials have closed the schools, bars, restaurants, gyms, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, etc.

But we've decided to stay open. Not because we're greedy, but because we want to serve our customers and because we feel safe doing so.

We do not have walk-in customers, and we have very few visitors of any kind. We all seem healthy, but we've agreed if anyone feels sick, they'll stay home or immediately go home.

We're not overly confident, but we hope this is a good decision that will not backfire on us.

We think most people will be home more, and some of you will be spending more time in front of your aquarium.

If you decide you need more fish, we've got a lot of them that would all love to come and live in your aquarium.

Our Facebook Store
We've been on Facebook for a long time, including our Store, which is "embedded" in Facebook for your convenience.

Our Sizes
We usually do not list a specific size like 3", instead we list a size range like 2.5" to 3", because all of the fish of certain type are not the same size.

We regularly check the fish and change the size range, if the fish have grown while in our aquariums.

It Really Hurts us!
Yes, it really hurts, when we read here-and-there, that we do not have much information about our fish ... ??

But actually we have lots-and-lots of easy to understand information about each type of the fish that we offer.

For example, ...

Click here for lots of information about Clown Loaches.

Click here for interesting facts about Blue Betta Males.

Notice on each of the pages at the three links just above, you can read about where the fish's ancestors lived, the recommended water temperature, the right food, plus lots of fun-facts about each type of fish.

And ... there are hundreds-and-hundreds of similar pages about many-many kinds of fish.

Click here to go to a special page with links to 100 more pages of useful, practical, simple, easy to read, easy to understand, and accurate information about keeping pet fish.

Faster and More Accurate
We've developed a new method of updating the Sizes, Prices, and number In Stock that is faster and more accurate.

This will provide you with better information and save us time that we can spend with our fish.

Our company dates back to 1969, more than 50-years, but we are constantly improving to take better care of our fish and better care of our fishy customers.

We've Improved.
Today we got our internal Inventory that runs here on our PC computers to continuously link to the Inventory on our internet server that shows here in this web site.

Now the In Stock numbers should be more accurate. So you can see all the fish we have in our aquariums. And we should be able to give you much better service.

All of us here wish all of you a Happy Holiday Season.

Work, Work, Work ...
Yes, we've been working to improve the pages in this website, including the page at ...

We plan to continue adding more types of fish to our inventory.

This is one example of the many ways we are continuously working and changing to serve you better and more completely.

Expanding Our Inventory I
Yes we've now got more types of fish.

Our data base has over 1500-skus for freshwater fish from all over the world.

In the recent past we've had about 300 of those items here in our aquariums at any one time. That was a lot.

But then we decided to reduce the quantity of each item, giving us more space for more items at a given time.

Right now we have increased our inventory to 384-items in our aquariums, and that means more choices for you.

This is one example of the many ways we are continuously working and changing to serve you better and more completely.

The right way to do acclimate fish is much safer for fish and much simpler than they advise.

Most aquariums do not need gravel, a fact that surprises most aquarists.

If you decide you must have gravel, then it's best to have a very thin layer, which is only about 1/4" thick.

In any case keep the gravel clean by vacuuming it every week.
