Way-way back in the 1960s and 1970s DrTom and Nevin raised millions of Pet Fish, like the one shown above, which they sold and delivered to tropical fish wholesalers. The brothers were often amazed at all the aquariums full of weak, sick, and quarantined fish. Once they asked, if their fish ended up like that and were told, "No it never happens with your fish."
Even so, many of the wholesalers constantly bargained with the brothers for lower prices, but the brothers knew the wholesalers got the fish, doubled the price, and sold them in a couple of days. When the brothers explained all this to their father, who was a very experienced businessman in aerospace, he said, "They'd be better off spending less of their time bargaining
with you for lower prices, and instead spending more of their time selling your fish and encouraging you to raise even more for them."
Finally DrTom and Nevin became tropical fish wholesalers and were very quickly successful. The brothers have often said that the single most important principle is to buy Premium Fish from suppliers of Premium Fish.
