Our Pictures

This website has lots of pictures of the fish that we offer for sale. Will the fish you get look like the fish in our pictures? No! This is like buying a kitten or a puppy, that will change as it grows and matures. We stock and ship fish that are the ideal size to ship. Not so small that they will not do well when shipped. Yet not so big that they will have trouble adjusting to a new home. The fish in almost all of our pictures were young fish like the ones we ship that we raised up, and you can too!

This image indicates an item is now Out of Stock, and we do know when it will be back in stock and available for sale. Click on this image for a more complete explanation of items like this that are marked Out of Stock.
If you're interested in buying an item that's marked "Out of Stock", we recommend that you add this page to your favorites or bookmarks and check back on this page from time to time.

Generally, we do not know when an item will be back in stock. It might be a few days, or it might be much longer. We usually do not get advance notice, so we can't supply you with any more information, and it will do no good to email us and ask when we'll have it back in stock.

item marked Not for Sale means we don't have this item and it's unlikely we will have it soon. Click on this image for a more complete explanation of items that are marked Not for Sale.
If you see "Not For Sale" by an item that interests you on this page, it means that we don't have that item in our facility now, and it's unlikely that we'll have it soon.

Why do we include a fish on our Price List that we are unlikely to sell? Because AquariumFish.net also provides information and links to information about some types of fish that we do not sell.

We don't have other stores, and we don't know of other suppliers of these items. Please don't send us emails asking for other suppliers.

 About our Fish Photographs ...
Almost all the photographs and videos, shown on this web site, were taken by us in our aquariums of our fish. Compare the healthy, beautiful, energetic fish in our beautiful aquariums to the fish in our competitors pictures. Their fish often look thin with clamped fins and poor color.
We buy the highest quality fish, produced by the best fish farms or caught by the best collectors of wild fish, then we take incredibly good care of our fish in our beautiful aquariums. If you compare the pictures on this site to our competitors pictures, you can instantly see, our fish and aquariums are better!  ;^ }
Will the fish you get from us look like the fish in our pictures? No! This is similar to buying kittens and puppies, that will change as they grow to become cats and dogs. We stock and ship fish that are the ideal size to sell. Not so small that they will not do well when shipped. Yet not so big that they have become much more expensive. The fish in almost all of our pictures were young fish like the ones we have for sale that we raised up, and you can too!

Ordering & Delivery of Living Items
The Prices
The Prices are payable in U.S. Dollars and are always listed for ONE item, which is usually one fish, but it might be one shrimp, one crab, one aquatic plant, or one fish bowl depending on the type of item.

The Sizes
are listed in inches and refer to total length of that item and includes the tail, if the item has a tail. Each size is the size of the item for sale. The pictures often show items of a different size than the items offered for sale. Eventually an item may grow to be bigger, even much bigger.

Learn about the Fish, before You Buy !!
Near almost every item, that is listed for sale, there is a link, which includes more information about that item and often includes the maximum size. We strongly recommend that you carefully read about each item, before you buy it!

No Minimum Size Order
There is no minimum order size. Order as many items or as few as you want.

Where Do We Ship?
We ship to most addresses in the contiguous 48-states and to some addresses in Hawaii and Alaska, but we cannot ship outside the United States. So we cannot ship to Canada or Puerto Rico. We apologize for any disappointment this causes.

The Pictures
on this web site show items that have usually been sold. So we can't ship you the exact same item that you see in a picture, and the item that we ship may not look like the item in the picture, but we can usually ship you an item that is nearly the same.

We Ship ...
all orders that contain live items by "Overnight Express Delivery". The fish leave here in the late afternoon and usually arrive before noon the next day. Most of our online competitors charge their customers more for "Next Day Shipping", and the fish they ship arrive several hours later in the afternoon. We love our fish and want to minimize the stress to them during shipping. Click here for more information about how we ship orders.

All of this is organized to maximize the safety to the fish.

The "Usual Delivery Day" is the day after your order is shipped. We always ship in the late afternoon and the delivery to you is usually the next day before noon, which minimizes the time. By the way you can request a different delivery day that you prefer, but the requested day must be after the Usual Delivery Day, shown above.

Notice the word "usually" in the yellow and pink columns. Once in a blue moon due to circumstances beyond our control we may not be able to ship on the day listed above in the yellow column. If so, we'll notify you, apologize for the delay, and make other arrangements for your shipment.

Saturday Delivery
Note: We can also ship on Friday for delivery on Saturday with an additional charge of $15.00. To ship on a Friday, we must receive your order before noon, our time, on Thursday, as shown in the table above.

Holidays
The regular Delivery Schedule, shown above, is occasionally interrupted by holidays like New Years, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. So for example, if July 4th is on a Wednesday, then we cannot ship that day, nor on the preceding day.

Notification
We will always notify you by email, before we ship your package. Our notification will include the name of the delivery company and the approximate time of delivery to your address. From the day we receive your order, you will usually receive your package within three to five of our working days, which are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

your Email Address
Be sure we have your current email address. Sometimes we get orders with old invalid email address, which means our notification email is return to us and not delivered.

your Street Address
The companies that we use to deliver packages will not accept a package from us that is addressed to a Post Office Box, so you must enter a Street Address on your order.

Your Telephone Number
The delivery companies also will not accept a package without your phone number to call in case they have trouble finding your street address.

IMPORTANT
Be sure your order is to a STREET ADDRESS and not a P.O. Box number. The delivery companies want a PHONE NUMBER, where they can call you at the time of delivery, in case they have trouble finding your address.

Please be Meticulous !!
Include everything listed above in your order, but if something is missing, we will contact you and help you complete your order.
We are very well organized, very friendly, and we have successfully shipped many thousands of packages of fish. ;^ }

5 highly recommended products for aquariums with tropical fish

 About our Fish Photographs ...
Almost all the photographs and videos, shown on this web site, were taken by us in our aquariums of our fish. Compare the healthy, beautiful, energetic fish in our beautiful aquariums to the fish in our competitors pictures. Their fish often look thin with clamped fins and poor color.
We buy the highest quality fish, produced by the best fish farms or caught by the best collectors of wild fish, then we take incredibly good care of our fish in our beautiful aquariums. If you compare the pictures on this site to our competitors pictures, you can instantly see, our fish and aquariums are better!  ;^ }
