This is the same species as the regular Jack Dempsey. This is a color variation. Jut like there are color variations of many other animals. But his is a very beautiful variation. It also grows to a smaller size, which is good for most aquarium, and it's less aggressive than the regular Jack Dempsey, which is also good. This is a better aquarium fish than the regular Jack Dempsey.

This is a very aggressive and ornery fish species, but their owners usually love them a lot and constantly talk about how wonderful their Jack Dempseys are!!  ;^ }

It's very rewarding to get a small one and raise it up, but some of our customers have one big aquarium with big fish, and a small Jack Dempsey might not survive. So we offer a few big ones from time to time.

Our Pictures

This website has lots of pictures of the fish that we offer for sale. Will the fish you get look like the fish in our pictures? No! This is like buying a kitten or a puppy, that will change as it grows and matures.

Click here to read more about our fish.

We stock and ship fish that are the ideal size to ship. Not so small that they will not do well when shipped. Yet not so big that they will have trouble adjusting to a new home.

The fish in almost all of our pictures were young fish like the ones we ship that we raised up, and you can too!
